05 Feb (H.S.): AK Sharma, who is Urban Development and energy minister of Uttar
Pradesh, has been saying since beginning of the Maha Kumbh that this Maha Kumbh
is an old tradition of India and may have been organised thousands of times. However,
it is happening in modern India this time. He also said that they're working
for the organisation of the Maha Kumbh with that spirit and with an intention
to showcase India's prowess to the whole world. Sharma and his team seems to
have succeeded in this mission.

arrangements at the Maha Kumbh. She was even more baffled when told that the
Maha Kumbh area presently houses a bigger population than the population of

the facilities at the Maha Kumbh are superb. Other groups including those from
Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and a number of other places
have been found commenting that the facilities in the Maha Kumbh are better
than those found in the established and and developed cities
Foreigners
from all over the world have been praising the spiritual and physical
experiences which they are getting in the Maha Kumbh. Particularly, they seem
to be impressed with the cleanliness and lighting arrangements.The reason for
this is that the planning for the Maha Kumbh has been very meticulous,
execution has been flawless and regular watch and attention is being paid on
maintenance of the services, particularly cleaning and hygiene said Sharma.
Minister
Sharma also gave some of the concrete examples to show the size and scale of
the Maha Kumbh arrangements. He also added that India can do anything, can
create anything and can deliver anything.

1200 kms of drinking water pipelines have been laid on war footing to make
water reach at every nook and corner of the Maha Kumbh area which is spread
into more than 4000 hectares of land.

More than 70,000 drinking water tap connections have been given to the tents,
offices, shops, Institutions and in public areas.

250 water ATMs have been put to provide pure water on a 24 seven basis

1.5 lakh toilets have been made for the visitors and are regularly cleaned.

More than 20,000 cleanliness workers, thousands of machines and equal number of
supervisory officers have been put in service to maintain cleanliness and
hygiene which is becoming a subject of appreciation in the Maha Kumbh.

More than 1.25 lakh tents have been put to house individuals, religious
organisations, government institutions and charitable organisations.

More than half 1 million electricity connections have been given to these tens
which house these facilities

75,000 LED street lights have been put

Thousands of kilometres of temporary roads have been made in the mela area to
make people's journey comfortable.

30 Temporary bridges called pontoon bridges have been erected over the rivers
so that people can cross from one bank to the other bank and can take bath
wherever they want.

A number of new bathing ghats have been made,

A New riverfront has been made with full modern facilities

Most of other mythological places in Prayaag which are very important from
religious point of view have been developed with world class facilities. They
include Bharadwaj Ashram, Lete Hanuman Ji temple, Beni Madhav Temple, Naag
Vasuki Temple, nearby place of Nishadraj, Akshay vat tree corridor and a number
of others.

Moreover, to enable empower and energise all this, the latest scientific and
technological tools and systems have been deployed. They are helping the
authorities to manage various issues facilities and services in an efficient
manner.

They include 2700 AI cameras 52,000 Geotag electric poles and two three
deficated command and control centers.

Similarly, Modern Equipments for fire fighting as well as for dealing with
human security, face recognition wtc have been deployed.

You can find dust bins at every 20 meters. You can find latest machines doing
cleaning, water spraying and sprinkling on the roads. You can find latest
machines doing river cleaning.

You can also find latest lighting equipments which are lighting some of the
oldest bridges across the Mela area.

Neither last nor the least, you can also feel the latest gadgets which have
been deployed for Light and sound management in the Mahakumbh area.
