Patna, 5 February (HS): Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also raised questions on the caste census conducted in Bihar. He said that instead of looking at the caste census of Bihar, if the truth of caste participation is to be known, then the caste census conducted in Telangana should be seen. He advocated adopting the Telangana model at the national level. He said that there is a need to conduct caste census at the national level. He was addressing the 130th birth anniversary celebrations of freedom fighter Jaglal Chaudhary organized in Patna on Wednesday.

Targeting the central government, Rahul Gandhi said, how much participation does the Dalit class have in India's power structure like education, health, corporate or judiciary? BJP talks about representation, but representation without participation has no meaning. This is exactly like I made five people sit on the stage among you, but their decisions are being taken from somewhere else. The same thing is happening in Modi government that you make people ministers, but OSDs come from the same ideology. He said that we talk about the ideas and principles of Ambedkar and Jaglal Chaudhary. But the question is that where did Ambedkar and Jaglal Chaudhary's ideas come from? The truth is that Ambedkar and Jaglal Chaudhary raised their voice against the pain and sorrow in the hearts of Dalits.

Rahul Gandhi said that there is not a single Dalit, OBC or Adivasi in the country's 200 big companies. 90 people decide the budget of India. Among these people, only three are Dalits. The three officers have been given small departments. If the government spends Rs 100, then the decision of only one rupee is taken by Dalit officers. Similarly, 50 percent of the population is from the backward class. There are only three officers from that class too. The participation of Dalits, Adivasis and backward classes is only six percent in Rs 100. He said that for representation in all sectors according to the population, it is most important to conduct caste census. He said that our aim is to look at Dalits, tribals and backward at the leadership level.

This statement of Rahul Gandhi is going to increase tension for RJD, Congress's partner in Bihar. Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav often call the caste census in Bihar as their big achievement. But now Rahul Gandhi has questioned the claims of RJD by raising a finger on it.
