NEW DELHI, 26 February (H.S.) : There is a rush of

devotees in various temples on Mahashivratri in Delhi. CM Rekha Gupta along

with Bansuri Swaraj and other leaders also visited the temple. The festival of

Mahashivratri is being celebrated with great pomp across the country on

Wednesday. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta visited Gauri Shankar Temple at Chandni Chowk

and offered water and worship offerings to Lord Bholenath. MP Praveen

Khandelwal was also present with her. Chandni chowk is the constituency of

Praveen Khandelwal. MP Bansuri Swaraj worshiped Lord Shiva at the ancient Shiva

temple at Connaught Place and Delhi govt. minister Ashish Sood at Jhandewalan

temple. On this occasion, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta while congratulating the

countrymen said, “I pray that the blessings of Bholenath and Maa Gauri remain

on all of us and Delhi and the country move forward on the path of continuous

progress. This occasion gives us the message of truth, religion and restraint”.

peace and brotherhood in the society.

MP Praveen Khandelwal

said, “Mahashivratri is a big festival of Indian culture. Today we offered

prayers at Gauri Shankar temple and prayed to Lord Shiva for the prosperity and

peace of the country. Under the leadership of PM Modi and the guidance of Chief

Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi will move forward on the path of development very

soon”. On this occasion, special security arrangements were made by the

administration in the major temples of Delhi and other security agencies

including police were deployed, so that people do not have to face any kind of

trouble.
