Guwahati, 25 February (HS): Guwahati's Fancy Bazar police has arrested a peddler involved in heroin smuggling. Police said on Tuesday that the team of Fancy Bazar OP of the Pan Bazar police station, based on a secret information, conducted a raid in Ushamati area of Railway Gate Number 3 area and arrested Amir Hamza (30, Barpeta).

Police said that 6.60 grams of heroin packed in five small plastic CCs was recovered from the drug peddler. Police have registered an FIR in this regard under the NDPS section and are intensively interrogating the arrested accused.
