New Delhi, 24 February (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday at the Global Investors Summit-2025 held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh that the World Bank has expressed confidence that India will remain the world's fastest growing economy in the coming years. The Prime Minister said that for the first time in the history of India, such an opportunity has come when the whole world is so optimistic about India. Be it the common people, economic experts, various countries or institutions all over the world have great expectations from India. He said, Just a few days ago, the World Bank has said that India will remain the world's fastest growing economy in the coming years. Just a few days ago, a United Nations organization on climate change called India a solar power superpower. This organization also said that while many countries only talk, India shows results. The Prime Minister said that textile, tourism and technology sectors are going to play a very important role in India's developed future. These three sectors are going to create crores of new jobs. India's textile sector employs crores of people. India has a whole tradition, skill and entrepreneurship related to textiles. The Prime Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is in a way the cotton capital of India. About 25 percent of India's organic cotton supply comes from Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister said that today's program is very important in the journey from developed Madhya Pradesh to developed India. He said that India is emerging as a top supply chain for global aerospace firms. Textile, tourism and technology sectors will create crores of jobs in the coming years.
The Prime Minister attributed the fast pace of development in the state to the double engine government. He mentioned the coordination between the state and central administration. He said that this coordination has accelerated progress, making Madhya Pradesh an attractive destination for domestic and international investors. Madhya Pradesh has seen a new era of change in the last two decades. There was a time when there were a lot of problems of electricity and water here. The law and order situation was even worse. In such a situation, it was very difficult to develop industry here. In the last two decades, with the support of the people of Madhya Pradesh, the BJP government here focused on governance. Till two decades ago, people were afraid to invest in MP. Today MP has become one of the top states in the country for investment.
The Prime Minister mentioned the important role of Madhya Pradesh in India's electric vehicle revolution and said that this state is one of the leading states in this transformative industry. He assured investors that Madhya Pradesh offers abundant opportunities for attractive returns, promoting a business-friendly environment. The Prime Minister also unveiled 18 new policies of the Madhya Pradesh government. These are aimed at attracting large-scale investments in the state. Modi said that with a strong talent pool and thriving industries, Madhya Pradesh is becoming a preferred business destination. The previous government underestimated the potential of MSMEs, which hindered the development of India's local supply chain. Now we are giving priority to the development of MSME-led local supply chains. For this, the definition of MSME has also been improved. MSME is being given loan related incentives.
