New Delhi, 24 February (HS): The CNMS-NaMo kendra urges to include 'Mann Ki Baat' in the curriculum has requested the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof. M. Jagdish Kumar, to include 'Mann Ki Baat' as a subject in the curriculum in universities and colleges. In a letter addressed to the Chairman of the UGC, NaMo Center Chairman Prof. Jasim Mohammad emphasized the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio program broadcast by All India Radio, which has successfully completed more than 110 episodes.
The letter from the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS-NaMo kendra)states, This program of Mann Ki Baat has been a source of inspiration, encouragement and ideas of nation building. It covers many important topics including social reform, youth empowerment, innovation, self-reliant India and cultural heritage of India. In line with the vision of a developed India, has urged the University Grants Commission to make Mann Ki Baat a compulsory subject in higher education. The request highlights that studying this subject will inspire students to connect with real-life examples of determination and success.
Citing the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the letter said, We strongly recommend making Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address Mann Ki Baat a compulsory subject in higher education. This will help students gain in-depth knowledge about India's socio-economic transformation and the role of leadership in nation building. Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS-NaMo kendra) believes that incorporating Mann Ki Baat in the academic curriculum will inculcate value-based education in students and nurture a sense of responsibility and purpose in them.
