Terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa claims grenade attack on BSF camp in Amritsar

Chandigarh, February 22 (HS): Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International has claimed grenade attack on Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Amritsar, Punjab. Like the grenade attack incidents in Punjab in the past, Punjab Police has not officially given any statement in this incident, while opposition party Shiromani Akali Dal has termed it a big failure of the Punjab government.

Babbar Khalsa International shared the post and wrote that a grenade attack took place outside Gate No. 3 of BSF Camp Khasa at 1.30 am on Friday night. I, Happy Pasiyan and Gopi Navanshaharia take responsibility for this. This attack has been done because the Indian government has imposed President's rule in Manipur, due to which atrocities have increased there.

The post further states that just as the Indian government perpetrated atrocities against Sikhs in the 1980s, atrocities are now being committed in Manipur. Sikh gurdwaras were targeted and burnt in Punjab, similarly now people of Kuki and Naga community are burning churches of Christians in Manipur. This massacre has been going on since 2023, but whoever speaks against the Indian government is killed. Our issues are to get justice for Khalistan, Christianity, Jains, Buddhism and Sikhs. Sharing an official statement, the BSF said that a fake news is going viral on social media. Which has been allegedly shared from a page named Babbar Khalsa International. This false report claims that there has been a grenade attack outside Gate No. 3 of BSF Camp, Khasa, Amritsar.

However, Punjab Police has not confirmed any such incident on the basis of fact check and official inputs. On the other hand, Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia said that there was an explosion outside BSF gate number three. Will Punjab police still call it an incident of tyre burst? Majithia said that police is deployed on every bridge in Amritsar but police stations and BSF campus are not safe. The attackers are posting posts fearlessly.
