Chennai, 22 February (H.S.): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has slammed the Centre over the ongoing language row, warning them not to throw stones at a beehive. This comes after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused Stalin of politicizing the National Education Policy (NEP) implementation.
As per social media (https://x.com/mkstalin/status/1893228079696241134) report Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu will not accept the three-language policy, emphasizing that the state will only follow the two-language policy of Tamil and English. He also questioned the Centre's motives, asking if imposing Hindi in the name of NEP and converting a multi-lingual country into a single-language nation is not politics.
The row escalated after Pradhan wrote to Stalin, urging him to rise above political differences and implement the NEP. However, Stalin countered that the Centre is trying to blackmail the state by linking funds to the implementation of the NEP and the three-language policy.
