Chennai, 20 February (H.S.): Students of Central University offered prayers on Thursday at the Sri Rama Pran Temple as part of the third annual Kashi Tamil Sangam. The delegation was welcomed by the district administration with garlands upon their arrival in Ayodhya. Later, the delegation was briefed about the glory and spiritual heritage of Varanasi.

According to PIB press release, the group chanted Jai Shri Ram as they entered the Sri Rama Pran Temple complex. It was an emotional moment for the Tamil Nadu representatives to see this grand temple built after 500 years. Expressing their happiness after the prayers, they appreciated the arrangements made by the government. They also appreciated the initiatives of the Union Ministry of Education.

“Having darshan of Lord Shri Ram was very satisfying. We, who wanted to visit this temple, never thought that we would have darshan of the Lord from such a close distance. This opportunity has become possible for us due to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the initiative of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. We are very happy,” said Haripriya, who is part of the student group.

Narrating their travel experience, another student, Narayan, said, “We visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and learned about its history. After that, we went to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela. After taking a holy dip there, we returned to Ayodhya and had darshan of Lord Shri Ram.

This trip has become very special due to the efforts of the government. This trip will help bring the cultures and traditions of the two states closer.”
