Kolkata, 20 February (H.S.) : ED raided a total of six
places from Keshtapur, Kakdwip, East Medinipur to Siliguri, seized several
important documents. The Enforcement Directorate was rocked by allegations of
corruption in the admission of non-resident Indians or NRI quota in medical. In
the investigation, the ED conducted a marathon search across the state from
Thursday morning. The Central Investigation Officers raided six places in total,
the medical officers were spoken to individually and their statements
were recorded. Besides, the detectives of the Central Investigation Agency have
collected multiple documents from various medical colleges also. A complaint
was lodged at Bidhannagar's Electronics Complex police station regarding
corruption in medical admission under NRI quota. Allegedly, the doctors of
different hospitals are giving medical education to the children known to him
including his family members by showing various types of fake certificates.
