Karbi Anglong (Assam), 15 December (HS):

Two motorcycle riders were killed on the spot in a tragic road accident at Kheroni in West Karbi Anglong district on Monday.

According to preliminary reports, the motorcycle lost control while negotiating the road and skidded off before plunging into a roadside canal. The impact proved fatal for both riders, who died instantly.

The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained so far. Police and local authorities have reached the spot and efforts are underway to recover details of the victims.

Further investigation into the incident is in progress.-----------
