New Delhi, December 11 (HS): Football legend Lionel Messi will arrive in India on December 13 for the much-anticipated ‘GOAT Tour 2025’, scheduled to take place from December 13 to 15 across four major Indian cities — Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi.
Messi will travel from Miami and is expected to land in Kolkata around 1:30 AM on December 13. His Kolkata schedule will be packed with engagements starting with meetings at 9:30 AM, followed by participation in multiple events and interactions. Messi will depart for Hyderabad at 2 PM the same day. During his Kolkata visit, Messi is also scheduled to meet former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
In Hyderabad, Messi’s main event will be the high-profile 7v7 exhibition football match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, which will also be attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The city will also host a grand musical evening celebrating Messi’s illustrious career.
Parvati Reddy, Chief Patron and Advisor of ‘GOAT Tour Hyderabad’, said the Hyderabad leg will focus on a special football clinic for young players, led by Messi himself. She confirmed that Messi’s Inter Miami teammates Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suárez will join the event. “Rodrigo and Suárez will be part of the clinic. They will train the children, motivate them and share footballing insights,” she added.
After completing his events in Hyderabad, Messi will travel to Mumbai and finally to Delhi.
The ‘GOAT India Tour 2025’ has been designed as a pan-India celebration — beginning in the East (Kolkata) and South (Hyderabad) on December 13, moving to the West (Mumbai) on December 14, and concluding in the North (Delhi) on December 15.
