LONDON, 4 November (H.S.): The Premier League announced on Tuesday that former England defender Gary Neville and Belgian star Eden Hazard are the latest inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame.The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors players and managers who have achieved exceptional success and made a significant contribution to the league since its inception in 1992. Only retired players and managers are eligible for consideration.

Neville and Hazard were selected this year through a vote by the 24 existing members of the Hall of Fame, a prestigious group that includes legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsène Wenger, Paul Scholes, Dennis Bergkamp, Vincent Kompany, and Didier Drogba.In a statement on his selection, Gary Neville expressed his delight.

It is a huge honor for me, he said. When you hear the names that are already on this list—giants of football—it is very special to be alongside them. I always tried to give my best for Manchester United and this recognition is a proud moment for me.

Eden Hazard remarked, For me, coming from Braine-le-Comte, a small town in Belgium, and just starting to play football for fun, this honor is unbelievable. Being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame is like a dream. This achievement belongs to my family, teammates, fans, and friends.

Gary Neville's CareerGary Neville spent his entire professional career with Manchester United, where he was an integral part of the club's golden era, known for his leadership, intelligence, and consistency.

Neville played 400 Premier League matches for United from 1992 to 2011, registering over 100 clean sheets and providing 35 assists.He won eight Premier League titles, including the historic 1998/99 season treble of the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

His former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, stated, Gary's long and successful journey—from United's youth team at 14 to the England squad—makes him a truly deserving recipient of this honor.

Eden Hazard's CareerEden Hazard made an immediate impact on the Premier League after joining Chelsea from Lille in 2012. He scored 85 goals and made 54 assists in 245 appearances for the club.

During the 2014/15 season, he led Chelsea to the title with 14 goals and 9 assists, earning a personal trio of awards: Premier League Player of the Season, PFA Players' Player of the Year, and Football Writers' Player of the Year.He won a second league title with Chelsea in 2016/17.

Hazard was named to the PFA Team of the Year four times before leaving the Premier League in 2019.His former coach, José Mourinho, said, Eden, I am so proud to see you join this list. You are one of the most wonderful players I have ever worked with, and your place there is fully deserved.Both players will be formally honored at a Hall of Fame event on November 4, 2025.

Each inductee will receive a personalized medallion and a £10,000 donation will be made to a charity of their choice.The Premier League Hall of Fame was launched in 2021. The inaugural inductees were David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Alan Shearer.

Subsequent additions include Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Vincent Kompany, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira, and Ian Wright. In 2023, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger became the first managers to be inducted, followed by Ashley Cole, Andy Cole, and John Terry last year.
