Guwahati, 20 November (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 377 successful candidates from the Tea Tribe and Adivasi communities who cleared TET and other recruitment examinations. He conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all selected candidates, their parents and guardians.

The Chief Minister said that the State government had fulfilled its promise of providing government jobs to one lakh youths through a fully transparent and merit-based process. He added that the figure has now risen to 1,35,376 appointments.

Dr. Sarma highlighted that this step is crucial for the empowerment and advancement of the Tea Tribe and Adivasi communities. With improvements in the education sector and expanding opportunities, he said Assam is progressing on a developmental path that includes all communities.---------
