Congress MP and Deputy Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi has expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation in several universities of Northeast India, including Tezpur University, NEHU, and Gauhati University.

He stated that controversies surrounding the functioning of vice-chancellors have created deep concern among students and faculty, affecting institutional performance and rankings. Gogoi has already written to the Prime Minister regarding issues at Tezpur University and said he will raise the broader matter of higher education turmoil in the upcoming Parliament session.--------
