16 Nov (HS): On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath will unveil a statue of Veerangna Uda Devi Pasi at a significant
ceremony in Uttar Pradesh. This event
honours Pasi's valiant heroism and sacrifice during the First War of Indian
Independence in 1857. Veerangna Uda Devi
Pasi, who was born at a time of struggle, remains a symbol of resistance,
having bravely fought against British forces, killing 36 soldiers before being
martyred. According to officials, Pasi's
legacy is a striking reminder of the strength that comes from togetherness and
sacrifice.

Swabhiman Samaroh will also be held at the occasion, which begins at 10 a.m. in
Pasi Square, Vrindavan Colony. Keshav
Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Ministers, will be among the
high-profile participants, as will a number of public figures.

of the freedom struggle, a symbol of indomitable courage and valour, on her
martyrdom day! Her heroic, sacrificial life for the nation's freedom will
continue to inspire patriotism and devotion to the motherland for ages.”
