New Delhi/Kochi, 14 November(HS): Congress, the main opposition party of India, has described the NDA’s landslide win in the Bihar Assembly election as a fabricated result and the party will stage an all India agitation against the subversion of democratic institutions by the BJP.

This was declared after a 90-minute 'brainstorming' session held at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s New Delhi residence and attended, among others by K C Venugopal, Pavan Khera and Rahul Gandhi himself. Though it has been reported that Rahul Gandhi had left for Thailand on Wednesday to unwind, it is reported that the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi clan was present during the session on Saturday.

K C Venugopal, who presided over the meeting, told reporters that the result of the Bihar polls is unbelievable and unprecedented. “The results have been manipulated in such a manner that even if the JD(U) led by Nitish Kumar leaves the NDA, the government would survive. Neither Rahul Ji nor we accept this result,” said the political guru.

He repeated and echoed the words of Rahul Gandho, who had told that the outcome of the Bihar polls is the result of the battle between Election Commission and the people of the State. Venugopal also said that the coming days will see the agitation against the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of electoral rolls getting stronger with the active support of the people in the country.

Ramesh Chennithala, Congress Working Committee member, told reporters at Thiruvananthapuram that the Bihar poll result was a repeatation of the Maharashtra and Haryana polls held early this year, which saw the NDA romping home with big mandate. Chennithala was in charge of the election to the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and would have faced the ire of the Nehru-Gandhi family for the debacle faced by the party in the assembly election. The Bihar Assembly poll result has come in handy for Chennithala as he does not need give any explanation to the High Command.
