(HS): Unless the date of total loan waiver for farmers is announced the
agitation will continue, said former MLA and Founder of Prahar Sangathana,
Bachhu Kadu said. Kadu who led farmers tractor rally and blocked NH 44 on
Nagpur-Wardha road, is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on
Thursday.
On Wednesday the
Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court directed him to clear the highway by the
evening. The court also directed the police officers and the District Collector
to ensure that the roads are cleared.
Meanwhile, a
delegation led by Maharashtra Ministers Parnaj Bhoyar and Ashish Jaiswal, met
Kadu and assured that the decision will be taken by the CM and requested him to
withdraw the agitation. Kadu, however, refused to withdraw the agitation unless
the date of loan waiver is announced.
Kadu threatened
to launch a Rail Roko agitation from Friday, is talks with CM fail.
On Wednesday the
Nagpur-Wardha roads, highway and adjoin small roads, were blocked for about
eight hours.
