Rising HIV Cases a Matter of Grave Concern: Arunachal CM Pema Khandu


Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), 03 October (HS): Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu raised alarm over the increasing number of HIV-positive cases in the state, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness, prevention and collective responsibility to combat the health crisis.

Chairing the third State AIDS Council (SAC) meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society in Itanagar, Khandu stressed that immediate and effective measures are vital to curb the spread of HIV, tackle ignorance, and eliminate the social stigma surrounding the disease.

The meeting was attended by cabinet colleagues, advisors, senior government officials, community organizations, and representatives of NGOs.

“Our collective resolve must be to strengthen awareness, prevention and care measures to safeguard every life and build a sensitive, informed and compassionate society,” Khandu said, urging for united action against the rising challenge.--------------
