PM Modi to Launch Projects Worth Over ₹1,140 Crore in Gujarat, Lead Ekta Diwas Celebrations

Delhi, 29 October (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat this Thursday and Friday to inaugurate a series of significant development projects and lead the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) celebrations. The visit coincides with the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On Thursday, October 30th, the Prime Minister will travel to Ekta Nagar, Kevadia. In the evening, he is scheduled to flag off a fleet of e-buses before inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects valued at over ₹1,140 crore. These initiatives are focused on enhancing the tourist experience, improving regional accessibility, and promoting sustainability.

Key projects to be inaugurated include the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, the first phase of a Hospitality District, and a new e-bus charging depot. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for a Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India and a new sports complex, among other ventures.

During the program, he will release a special commemorative ₹150 coin and a stamp to mark Sardar Patel's 150th birth anniversary.The main events on Friday, October 31st, will center around the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations.

The Prime Minister will begin the day by offering a floral tribute at the Statue of Unity. He will then administer the Ekta Diwas pledge and witness the annual parade. This year's parade will feature several unique attractions, including a BSF marching contingent composed exclusively of Indian dog breeds like Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds, a motorcycle daredevil show by the Assam Police, and the BSF's Camel Contingent.

The parade will also feature ten tableaux from various states and union territories on the theme of 'Unity in Diversity.'Following the parade, the Prime Minister will interact with Officer Trainees from the 100th Common Foundation Course at the conclusion of Aarambh 7.0, an orientation program for civil service probationers.
