Lucknow, 29
Oct (HS): “Greetings to all the brothers and sisters of Bihar... Today, I will
have the opportunity to interact with the residents of Raghunathpur, Shahpur,
and Buxar assembly constituencies. Bihar, the land of knowledge, revolution,
and devotion, is once again with the NDA, the symbol of good governance and
nationalism. We must respond to corrupt and divisive forces unitedly. Bihar is
ready, for another NDA government,” posted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath on Wednesday. The Bihar Assembly elections are now in full swing.
Voting for the first phase is scheduled for next week (November 6).
Consequently, election rallies are gaining momentum. Many prominent leaders,
including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are busy wooing voters in Bihar. Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also holding election rallies in
Bihar. Today, he will hold rallies in three locations, including Siwan
district, once the stronghold of don Mohammad Shahabuddin. CM Yogi is one of
the star campaigners for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Like other states,
he is campaigning in Bihar as well. Today will be CM Yogi's first public
meeting since the nomination process ended. However, he had previously entered
the Bihar election fray on October 16. He visited the Danapur assembly
constituency in Patna, the capital, and addressed a public rally in support of
BJP candidate Ramkripal Yadav.
A strong
attack was made on the opposition from Danapur: Not only Danapur, CM Yogi also
visited the Muslim-majority district of Saharsa, where he held a public meeting
in support of Dr. Alok Ranjan Jha. Saharsa is a district adjacent to the
Koshi-Seemanchal belt, where the number of Muslim voters is high. CM Yogi is
again on a tour of Bihar today amid the BJP's efforts to woo voters on the
issue of Hindutva.
During a
public rally in Danapur, on the outskirts of Patna, CM Yogi launched a scathing
attack on the Grand Alliance, alleging that the RJD, Congress, and their other
allies were engaging in a new development versus burqa prank by
opposing the Election Commission's directive to identify women wearing burqas
at polling stations. He also accused opposition parties of intending to rig
voting through infiltrators. He also attacked the Grand Alliance during a rally
in Saharsa.
CM's focus on
3 districts adjoining UP: CM Yogi will address election rallies at three
locations in Bihar today. He will begin in the Raghunathpur area of Siwan
district. This district has been highly renowned for the don-turned-politician
Mohammad Shahabuddin. He was elected MLA from the Jiradei constituency and then
went on to become a Member of Parliament from the Siwan parliamentary
constituency four times. This time, Shahabuddin's son is contesting from here.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal has fielded his son, Osama.
In addition
to Raghunathpur, CM Yogi will visit Bhojpur district and address an election
rally in the Shahpur assembly constituency. Returning to Uttar Pradesh, his
third rally will be held in Buxar. Siwan, Bhojpur, and Buxar are all districts
bordering Uttar Pradesh.
Siwan is a
district bordering Uttar Pradesh and is just three to three and a half hours'
drive from Gorakhpur, the hometown of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi's
Hindutva image is quite popular in these areas. In the Raghunathpur
constituency of Siwan, where he will campaign, Janata Dal United (JDU)
candidate Vikas Kumar Singh is contesting on behalf of the NDA. The RJD has
fielded Shahabuddin's son, Osama Shahab, against him.
