New Delhi, 28 October (H.S.): The Vice President of India,C. P. Radhakrishnan, is set to begin his first official visit to his home state of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, commencing a three-day tour that will include engagements in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram. The visit, scheduled from October 28 to 30, marks his maiden tour of the state after assuming the vice presidency.

The Vice President will arrive in Coimbatore on Tuesday following an official visit to the Republic of Seychelles. His itinerary for the day includes a public reception, a felicitation by the Coimbatore Citizen Forum, and paying homage at the Mahatma Gandhi statue. He will also visit the Perur Mutt to participate in centenary celebrations before traveling to Tiruppur to pay floral tributes at the statues of Tiruppur Kumaran and Mahatma Gandhi.

On Wednesday, Radhakrishnan will attend a felicitation programme in Tiruppur and will later travel to Madurai to offer prayers at the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple.

The tour will conclude on Thursday, with the Vice President scheduled to attend the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi programme in Ramanathapuram district.
