Delhi, 28 October (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday morning launched a special clean-up drive at Vasudev Ghat on the Yamuna, just hours after the conclusion of the Chhath Puja festivities.

Accompanied by Culture and Tourism Minister Kampil Mishra, the Chief Minister personally joined sanitation workers in collecting litter, including water bottles, flowers, diyas, and other waste materials, left behind by devotees. She also swept a section of the ghat to encourage public participation in maintaining cleanliness.

“Chhath festival was celebrated across the city, and some waste is expected to remain. We will ensure that all ghats are cleaned through this special drive,” Gupta told reporters at the site.

The Chief Minister also urged citizens to support cleanliness initiatives and help keep the Yamuna ghats pollution-free after major festivals.
