
Delhi, 24 October (H.S.): The Delhi Police's Special Cell on Friday busted a potential ISIS module, arresting two suspected terrorists in coordinated raids. One suspect was apprehended in Delhi, while the second was taken into custody in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.
According to police officials, both individuals have been identified as Adnan. One of the suspects was arrested in Delhi's Sadiq Nagar. Preliminary investigations indicate that the pair was linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) and was in the advanced stages of planning a major terrorist attack in the national capital.
Authorities reported that the suspects were allegedly undergoing training for a fidayeen, or suicide, attack.During the arrests, police seized electronic devices and other incriminating materials. An official stated that initial interrogations have revealed the suspects had already conducted reconnaissance of several key locations in Delhi.
The accused are currently being questioned to uncover the full extent of their network and the specifics of the foiled plot.
