Nagar, 24 Oct (HS): A man filed a report at the Jewar police station in Gautam
Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, alleging that his daughter's husband had harassed
him, leading to her suicide. Police registered a report and arrested the
accused husband today.
Inspector
Sanjay Kumar Singh, in-charge of Jewar police station, stated that Rajveer
Singh, son of Siddharth Singh, filed a report at the police station today,
stating that he is a resident of Bulandshahr district. According to the victim,
his daughter, Ruby (27), was married to Krishna, son of Shri Ram, a resident of
Kani Garhi village, on February 28, 2017. According to the victim, on October
22, his daughter called her mother and told her that her husband had assaulted
her. Subsequently, some people from Kani Garhi village called her brother in
the evening of October 22 and informed him that Ruby had hanged herself from a
fan and was admitted to Kailash Hospital. They stated that when they arrived at
Kailash Hospital in Jewar, they discovered their daughter dead. The station
in-charge stated that based on the victim's complaint, the police have
registered a report and are investigating the matter. He added that the police
have arrested the accused husband today and he is being presented in court.
