Delhi, 22 October (H.S.): The Election Commission of India (ECI) will convene a two-day conference for Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) from all states and Union Territories, beginning on Wednesday. The high-level meeting is scheduled for October 22 and 23 in New Delhi.

The conference will be held at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in Dwarka. The primary agenda is to hold detailed discussions on the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across the country.

According to officials, the summit will focus on deliberating measures to make the voter list revision process more effective, transparent, and robust. The CEOs have been asked to share their experiences and the specific challenges they face in their respective states to help streamline the nationwide rollout.

This initiative follows the successful completion of a Special Intensive Revision of the voter list in Bihar. The Election Commission announced its decision to replicate this model across the country and has already initiated the process for its implementation.
