
Mumbai, 22 Oct (HS): An International Air India
flight had to return to the Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport within
minutes following a technical snag detected by the pilot.
The flight number AI191 to America which took off at
1.14 am on Wednesday returned after about 30 minutes as the pilot detected some
problems and decided to return to Mumbai. Air India arranged for another plane
for the passengers. The technical staff is verifying the problems.
Air India is facing problems frequently during the
last few months, after the June 12 crash in Ahmedabad, killing 241 passengers.
Only one traveller survived in the crash.
On June 16 technical problem was detected in the Hong
Kong – Delhi flight. Similar problem was detected on July 21 in the Delhi-Kolkata
flight. News about problems in many other flights were reported during the last
few months.
