Varanasi, 22 October (H.S.): On Wednesday, with the first phase of nominations for the Bihar Assembly elections now complete, the state's political fervor has reached its peak. While the ruling NDA and the opposition Mahagathbandhan are both confidently claiming victory, a young Kashi-based astrologer and social activist, Dr. Shwetank Mishra, has made a significant claim based on his astrological prognostication. He asserts that the reins of power in Bihar will once again be in the hands of the NDA coalition.
In a special conversation with 'Hindusthan Samachar,' Dr. Mishra revealed that this conclusion was drawn from a detailed astrological analysis of the available horoscopes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag Paswan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and strategist Prashant Kishor. He added that the major astronomical shift on October 18, when Jupiter entered the Cancer zodiac sign, will also be reflected in the electoral equations.
Favorable ‘Rajyoga’ for Nitish Kumar
Dr. Mishra stated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s horoscope has a Gemini ascendant and a Scorpio moon sign. Prior to October 18, Jupiter was positioned in the eighth house from the Moon, which is not considered favorable. However, Jupiter has now transited to the ninth house (the house of fortune), forming a powerful ‘Rajyoga,’ a royal combination signifying political success. He predicts that due to the influence of this alignment, Nitish Kumar will not face any significant damage from anti-incumbency sentiment.
PM Modi’s Strong Horoscope Contrasts with Weaker Opposition
According to Dr. Mishra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's horoscope is comparatively the most powerful among the key political figures. While the current period is moderately fruitful for him, it provides a distinct advantage over opposition leaders. On the other hand, a ‘Shapit Yoga,’ or cursed combination of Rahu and Saturn, is present in Rahul Gandhi’s chart, which could limit the performance of the Congress party under his leadership.
Within the Mahagathbandhan, other allied parties are likely to be in a better astrological position than Congress. While there are differing astrological opinions regarding Tejashwi Yadav’s horoscope, if the Aquarius ascendant is taken as the basis, he is currently in the final phase of Saturn's Sade Sati.
In astrological terms, this period is known as ‘Sankata Mein Siddha,’ which is characterized by struggle but is not potent enough to lead one to power. Consequently, he does not appear to be emerging in a decisive role.
Rising Fortunes for Chirag Paswan
Mishra says that according to astrological calculations, this election could prove to be exceptionally significant for LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan. He may emerge as a rising force within the NDA. There is a strong probability that he will be entrusted with a major responsibility after the elections. Dr. Mishra noted that while the Mahagathbandhan might see gains in regions like Seemanchal, there are clear indications of an NDA lead in urban and middle-class areas.
