Kochi, 22 October (HD): Serious security lapse occured on Wednesday morning at Pathanamthitta during the landing of the helicopter carrying President Draupadi Murmu.
The President was on her way to Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Temple for darshan. When the chopper with the President on board landed at the temporary helipad, its tyres got stuck up as the concrete on the helipad was yet to dry up.
No untoward incident happened as the First Citizen's security guards pushed the helicopter to safety zone. The President who looked unperturbed boarded a Gurkha Jeep and proceeded to the sanctum Sanctorum.
Though the Kerala government explained the incident was caused by the non-dry up of concrete on the helipads surface, security officials of the President were not convinced and a high level probe is on.
