Patna, 17 October (H.S.): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Patna on a two-day visit to spearhead the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. His tour commenced late Thursday evening with a crucial meeting with state BJP office-bearers, where he reviewed poll preparations and directed the party to fortify its organization down to the booth level.

This election will determine the direction of Bihar's development, good governance, and self-reliance, Shah stated during the meeting.

On Friday, Shah is scheduled to address his first major public rally of the election season in Taraiya, located in the Saran (Chhapra) district. At the rally, he is expected to underscore the NDA's unity, tout the achievements of the central government, and reiterate the BJP's commitment to Bihar's progress.

Following his return to Patna, he will engage with academics, business leaders, doctors, and young entrepreneurs at an intellectuals' conference at Gyan Bhawan. Later in the evening, he will convene with the party's election management committee to strategize on booth management, social media outreach, and the overall campaign narrative. This high-profile visit is seen as a pivotal effort to galvanize the cadres of both the BJP and its ally, the Janata Dal (United) (JDU), following their seat-sharing agreement.

Shah's presence aims to enhance coordination within the alliance and shift the entire organizational machinery into election mode. He will hold further discussions with local leaders on Saturday to fine-tune electoral strategies before returning to Delhi that evening.
