New Delhi, 7 January (H.S.): Union Minister of Labor and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday launched multi-lingual functionality on e-Shram portal during a program here making it available in all 22 scheduled languages.
In his address on the occasion, the Union Minister urged all unorganised workers to register on the e-Shram portal to avail various government schemes created for their welfare, livelihood and well-being. Mandaviya highlighted the growing trust in the e-Shram platform and said that on an average more than 30,000 registrations are registered daily by unorganized workers on the portal.
He said that the beginning of integrating e-Shram with Bhashini has ensured seamless access to e-Shram services in 22 Indian languages. This initiative breaks language barriers and enables unorganized workers to easily register, update information and access various social security schemes in their preferred language. This is an important milestone in our journey towards creating an inclusive and accessible digital platform for all under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the ministry, in line with the vision of making e-shram a 'one-stop-solution', this portal will now be available in all 22 scheduled languages. The previous version was available only in English, Hindi, Kannada and Marathi. The Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and several senior officials participated in this program. The ministry said that this has proved to be another milestone in the government's efforts to provide comprehensive social security to unorganized workers in the country.
