6 January (H.S.): UP Police are working tirelessly to guarantee a safe and
magnificent Maha Kumbh celebration in 2025. Officers are meticulously
scrutinizing cars and ID cards at entry points as part of increased security
procedures. The bomb squad is nearby, ready to deal with any possible threats.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Jagdish Kaliraman explained that the Central
Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and state
police are conducting regular drills as part of their preparedness. Identity
checks are stringent, with information about suspected persons being cross-checked
against statewide police databases.
Thousands of artificial
intelligence-enabled CCTVs and underwater drones have been installed as part of
an enhanced security project. The massive religious gathering, which occurs
every 12 years, will conclude on February 26, with crucial bathing ceremonies
slated for January and February.
