5 January (H.S.): Police said on Sunday that an unidentified suspect stole
substantial things, including silver idols and dishes, from a shrine inside the
home of a BJP official in Govind Nagar. Devpal Singh Pundir, the SHO of Govind
Nagar police station, revealed that the theft took place during wee hours.

Goswami, the BJP city unit's general secretary, was sleeping with his family
when a robber broke into the temple and stole rare silver idols and other
valuables. When Goswami discovered the theft, he alerted the police, and a
complaint was filed. Authorities are studying CCTV video to find the offender.
