Various agencies of America are involved in the search and rescue operation. NBC News Channel has claimed that more than 30 bodies have been recovered from the Potomac River so far.

The Washington Post report said that the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed, but the police have recovered the bodies from the river. According to CBS News, President Donald Trump said in a statement May God rest their souls.

He questioned the accident in his Truth Social. He wrote, This is a bad situation. This should not have happened.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Kansas Senator Roger Marshall said that it is painful to lose more than 60 Kansas at once.

According to another report, the search and rescue team is facing freezing temperatures and extremely difficult conditions. The passenger plane includes American figure skaters, coaches and people returning from a training camp. Russian media said that two former world champions are also in it.

A passenger plane collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter near Jet Reagan Airport in the capital Washington at around nine o'clock on Wednesday night. This American Airlines jet carrying 64 people crashed and fell into the Potomac River. It includes 60 passengers and four crew members. There were three people on board the military helicopter. It also crashed and fell into the same river. This passenger plane had departed from Wichita (Kansas).
