Chandigarh, 03 January (H.S.): Twenty-five people were injured in a collision between a bus and an oil tanker in Bathinda, Punjab. As soon as the information of this accident that happened on Friday morning was received, the police reached the spot and admitted all the injured to Bathinda AIIMS.

According to the police, a bus of a private company was coming from Rama Mandi to Bathinda. In the morning, when the bus reached near Gurusar Shenewala on Bathinda-Dabwali Road, the bus collided with an oil tanker coming from the opposite direction while taking a U-turn due to dense fog. It is being told that work was going on on this highway, so one side of the road was kept closed. Vehicles from both sides were running on the same side of the road.

DSP Hina Gupta said that 25 people travelling in the bus were injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. The traffic was resumed by moving the damaged vehicles to the side.
