New Delhi, 2 January (H.S.) : Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held the seventh pre-budget consultation meeting with financial and capital market stakeholders in New Delhi on Thursday. This meeting chaired by Sitharaman was held in connection with the preparations for the upcoming Union Budget 2025-26, in which stakeholders from the financial sector and capital market gave many suggestions to the Finance Minister.

The Finance Ministry said in a statement issued on X Post that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the 7th pre-budget consultation with financial sector and capital market stakeholders in New Delhi regarding the upcoming Union Budget 2025-26. The meeting was also attended by Finance Secretary, Economic Affairs Secretary, DIPAM Secretary, Department of Financial Services Secretary and Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India.

It is noteworthy that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for the upcoming financial year 2025-26 in Parliament on February 1, 2025. The pre-budget consultation meeting is an essential step related to shaping the Union Budget, which promotes economic development. The suggestions received in these meetings help in meeting the needs of various stakeholders.
