Morigaon (Assam), 15 January (HS): The historic Gobha Devarajas' Jonbil Mela is going to organize on the banks of Jonbil in Jagiroad with three-day grand programs from Thursday.
The organizing committee of this Mela with world famous exchange tradition has completed the preparations for the Mela.
People from hundreds of villages of Karbi Anglong and Meghalaya have started coming to attend the venue with hill produced agricultural goods. Also, dog fights and mass fishing tradition will be organized in the Mela.
Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present as the chief guest on the first day of the Mela. During this, CM Dr. Sarma will give Rajbhatta to 22 Tiwa kings of Central Assam.
On the second day of the Mela, on Friday, a historic exchange tradition will be organized, which will be inaugurated by Morigaon MLA Ramakant Deuri.
Preparations for organizing the Mela have been going on for the last one month. The Assam government's Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika has inspected the preparations of this fair several times. People from different parts of Assam and the country are arriving to participate in the fair.
