Chandigarh, January 10 (HS): A blast at Gumtala Chowki in Amritsar, Punjab last night caused a sensation. Police has described it as a police vehicle's radiator bursting, but the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa has taken responsibility for it, saying that the police post was attacked with a grenade.
It was told that on Thursday late night around 12:30, a blast was heard in the police post, after which all the personnel posted inside the post came out. According to the police, ASI Tajinder Singh's car was parked outside the post, whose radiator burst and that caused the blast sound. Coolant also came out due to the bursting of the radiator. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar also visited the spot.
On the other hand, a few hours after the blast, terrorist Happy Pasia, sitting abroad, took responsibility for it and said that the attack on the police post was done by him. Police has rejected his claims regarding this attack. Police said that this blast happened due to the bursting of the radiator of the policeman's car.
Police and army officers are investigating this blast. On Friday, FSL teams investigated at Gumtala Chowki for about three hours.
