Prague, 03 Sep (HS): Czech Republic Police arrested
30 people and seized a truck carrying them. The people in the truck are said to
be migrants who illegally entered the Czech territory. Their nationality was not
been established based on the documents in their possession. A woman among the people
arrested died during treatment.
According to the police, the truck was stopped on
motorway D8 near Veltrusy, around 8 pm (local time) on Monday, a news agency
has reported. The highway was closed to traffic for about 30 minutes after the
operation. Some of the migrants tried to flee but were located and arrested
with the help of a helicopter. Many of them, who were sick, have been taken to
a hospital for treatment.
According to Radio Prague, the highway on which
the migrants were detained, connected Bohemia with Germany.
