Colombo, 02 Sep (HS):

Sri Lanka’s major Tamil political party Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has

extended support to Sajith Premadasa for the presidential polls. Premadasa is

the main Opposition Leader in the parliament. The elections are scheduled to be

held on September 21.

On Sunday, TNA spokesperson M A Sumintharan told the media about the decision taken during the Central Committee’s meeting.

TNA supported the opposition candidates during the 1999, 2010, 2015, and 2019 elections.
