Dhaka, 02 Sep (HS): Former parliamentarian and

Awami League leader Haji Mohammad Salim was arrested from the Bangshal area of

Dhaka. Salim was arrested by the sleuths of the Intelligence Department of Dhaka

Metropolitan Police around 1.30 am.

According to the newspaper Dhaka Tribune, Detection

Branch Joint Commissioner M D Rabiul Hussain Bhuian confirmed Salim’s arrest. Salim

is facing cases lodged in many police stations.

A Dhaka court in 2022 awarded imprisonment to Salim in a case of acquiring property beyond the known source

of income.
