Ahmedabad, 16 September (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi while inaugurating the Renewable Energy Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Monday said that our goal is not to reach the top but to stay on top.

While addressing the summit, Prime Minister Modi said that he told foreign friends that there is a centuries-old Surya Mandir in Modhera. Along with this, this village is a solar village. All of you know a lot about Ayodhya. It is the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. A stall of Uttar Pradesh has also been set up in the exhibition. I have become a Uttar Pradesh person. Our effort is that every house in Ayodhya should run on solar panels. 17 cities of India are going to be developed as solar cities. The Prime Minister said that our goal is not to reach the top, but to remain on top. We are not based on energy. Hence, we have decided to rely on solar power, nuclear power, wind power.

Earlier, on the second day of his Gujarat visit, Prime Minister Modi reached the house of a beneficiary of PM Surya Ghar Yojana in Vavol. Here he saw the solar system installed on the roof and talked to the beneficiary. Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to bungalow number 53 of Shalin-2 Society in Vavol on Monday morning. More than 40 sessions, 5 panel discussions, more than 115 B2B meetings will be organized. The Prime Minister also spun the charkha here.
