New Delhi, September 16 (HS): The eighth India Water Week and Exhibition is being organized from 17 to 20 September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Hall No. 12A, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj will also participate in it. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj gave this information in a statement issued on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the stalls of the ministry's exhibition will showcase the best practices adopted by gram panchayats across the country in water management. This includes Kothar Gram Panchayat of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, where a water tank has been built at the foot of a mountain to collect water, which is then distributed to the surrounding villages through a pump house. According to the ministry, in addition, the innovative approach of supplying RO and water to the villagers through the installation of water ATM kiosks by nine gram panchayats of Manipur will also be highlighted.
