Kathmandu, 01 Aug (HS):- Nepal’s Foreign Affairs
Ministry has issued an advisory to its nationals staying in different countries in
the Middle East given the escalating tension in the region. The Ministry also
issued an emergency number for those in any difficulty.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arju Rana Deuba held
a meeting with the senior officers following attacks by Israel on Lebanon and
Iran. The Nepali nationals have been advised to remain alert in the present
situation, which is likely to deteriorate further. The Spokesperson of the
Ministry Amrit Rai said many Nepali nationals work in Israel, Iran, Egypt
and Lebanon, and other countries in the region. A similar advisory has been
issued through commercial embassies in these countries. They have been advised
to provide details of their locations to their respective embassies.
Iran and Lebanon have vowed to retaliate against the killing
of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and Hezbollah commander Faud Shukr in Lebanon.
