Imphal, 05 July (HS). Intensive operations are being conducted by security forces in Manipur. The recovery of weapons and ammunition is continuing in these operations. In this connection, weapons and ammunition were recovered from different places of the state in a joint security forces operation. Manipur Police today said that search operations and area dominance were carried out by security forces in the border and sensitive areas of hill and valley districts. During this, three pumpi and one improvised (pumpi) shell were recovered from Churachandpur district.

In another search operation, eight plateless BP jacket covers, 20 sleeping bags, one pair of BP plates, two BP helmets, five camouflage pants, two camouflage jackets, one olive green full sleeve and one shoulder pistol holster were recovered from Imphal West district. Security forces are conducting raids across the state.
