Imphal, 05 July (HS). Manipur Police conducted intensive raids and search operations in sensitive and inaccessible areas of various districts of the state.

In the operation, 51 people were detained in connection with violation of different sections of the law. Police said today that the movement of 170 vehicles on National Highway No. 37 and 253 vehicles on National Highway No. 2 with essential commodities has been ensured. Tight security measures have been taken at all sensitive places to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles. Security forces have been deployed on a large scale in sensitive areas. Police said that 124 check posts and checkpoints have been set up in various districts of Manipur in both hill and valley.
