PPP initiates talks with PTI Chief Imran Khan

Islamabad, 29 July (HS): The Pakistan People’s

Party (PPP) led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari initiated steps to have talks with

former Prime Minister and founder President of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI)

Imran Khan. Imran Khan is in jail.

PPP said that the party is ready for discussion if

Imran Khan wishes. PPP senior leader Khurshid Shah in Quetta said Imran Khan

has reacted positively to the offer. He welcomed the initiative for a

discussion.

A newspaper Express Tribune quoted Shah saying

President Asif Ali Zardari always promotes sorting out issues through discussion.

PPP’s initiative and strong opposition to Khan by

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) indicates the possibility of political instability

in Pakistan.
