Washington, 24 July (HS): New Jersey Democratic Party Senator Bob Menendez resigned following his conviction on corruption charges. He was charged with 16 cases of bribery and corruption and acting as an agent for Egypt’s Government.

Jersey Democratic Party Senator Bob Menendez resigned following his conviction

on corruption charges. He was charged with 16 cases of bribery and corruption and

acting as an agent for Egypt’s Government.

Menendez submitted his resignation to Governor Philip D

Murfi. His colleagues in the Democratic Party were pressuring for his

resignation. He tendered his resignation before the Senate Ethics Committee

decides to remove him. He also decided to challenge the Manhattan Jury’s conviction.
