New Delhi, June 11 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman today. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term after the recently concluded general elections.

According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Tariq emphasized the centuries-old friendly relations between Oman and India. He also extended his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of India.

Prime Minister Modi thanked Tariq for his warm wishes and mentioned his historic visit to India in December 2023, which strengthened bilateral cooperation in all areas.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen and strengthen the India-Oman partnership for the mutual benefit of both countries.

The Prime Minister also extended his heartfelt greetings to Tariq and the people of Oman on the upcoming Eid al Azha.
