Kathmandu, 11 June (HS): The Nepal Supreme Court has summoned Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane in a writ petition related to corruption charges against him. The petitioner has pleaded enquiry in charges of corruption and misuse of power as minister by removing him from the post.

The Advocate General had refused to admit any case against Lamichhane. The intervention of the court has allowed the case to move forward. Hearing in the case is expected to be taken up next week.

Details of all the cases and copies of FIR have been filed before the bench consisting of Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma and Justice Til Prasad Shrestha. The hearing is expected to begin on June 18.
